- To lead the child to appreciate the wonders of God’s Creation and to see themselves as part of that world.
- To lead the child, through the scriptures to know Jesus as his or her savior.
- To teach the child to speak to God in prayer.
- To help the child develop a tolerance for all people, for Jesus sake, so that he can live happy and harmoniously with them.
- To help the child become aware of, and to have interest in, the world around them.
- To make the child’s adjustment to school happy and wholesome.
- To give each child opportunities to work and play cooperatively in a group.
- To teach the child to act and think for themselves and to develop a degree of independence.
- To help him or her develop desirable speech habits – to communicate more effectively and to grow in vocabulary.
- To teach him or her good sportsmanship – to be willing to lose at times, to share and take turns. To help him or her grow in the common courtesies of life.
- To provide opportunities to work with different medias for fostering creative expression in music, arts, crafts and drama.
- To help the child feel a real sense of security, belonging and full acceptance.
- To teach him or her to observe a few simple health and safety rules.
- To help develop coordination and motor control.
- To help them develop love and respect for the country and flag.
Administration
Enrollment:
Children entering Pre-School should be 2 ½ years (33 months) of age and toilet trained by September 1st of the school year they enter. All children accepted are required to turn in a medical form before the first day of school. If you do not receive one with your registration, one can be mailed to you if you call the church office at 763-533-2564
