A women’s group – to build relationships and grow spiritually… Bread ‘N Word is all about women coming together to relax, share coffee and bread, build relationships, and grow in their relationship with God! We meet in Redeemer’s lounge every Thursday morning from 10:30-11:30am. We share coffee and goodies together, spend time talking and reading God’s Word, and afterwards there is always extra bread to take home and share with your family or a family in need! You can come once, or every Thursday – whatever works for you! Hope to see you there! If you have any questions, call Sarah Legband - DCO (Director of Christian Outreach) during the day at 763.533.2564 ex.13. |

Alter GuildThe Altar Guild takes responsibility for the altar and all the paraments on the walls and altar. There are certain colors that get put up at various times of the Church year. For example, on Holy week, Maunday Thursday the Altar Guild takes charge of stripping of the altar with the help of the girl confirmands, they then prepare it for Easter Sunday. The Altar Guild is also responsible for setting up communion on the first and third Sundays of the month. The Altar Guild are the ones in charge of the flower calendar, and see to it that the Church has flowers on the Altar every week. They then deliver these flowers to one of the shut-ins or hospitalized people of the Church's congregation. |
Pastoral ServicesPastoral care is available twenty-four hours a day to all members of Redeemer. The pastor is available to offer spiritual counsel or respond in times of need. Regular visits are made to area nursing homes and to the elderly and shut-ins. The Divine Service (with the Sacrament of Holy Communion) is available for those members of Redeemer who are physically unable to come to the Divine Service at the Church. Home visitations are made when time permits. Weddings (after conferral) and funerals are conducted by the pastor for the members of Redeemer. Baptisms are conducted after conferral with pastor. |

Mission GuildThe Mission Guild's mission is to provide a gathering place after a funeral for the families of Redeemer members who experience the loss of a loved one. It gives us the opportunity to embrace the "Great Commandment:" TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER. As we meet, greet, and serve refreshments to those who grieve, we become vessels of God's love as Christian friends by sharing the Gospel with those in need of healing and grace! If you could hear the kind words and feel the appreciation expressed by the family members of the deceased you would see that this is a very gratifying service to be a part of, and even though it is volunteer work, the value to the families and the volunteers themselves is immeasurable! There is always room for more participation. If interested please contact the Church office ((763) Van ServiceVan Service is available to members of the congregation that need rides to church. Sometimes this service is also used for the G.R.A.P.E. activities or the Red Hat club to get all participants to the same place at the same time. Lucille Ahles is our van coordinator and is very good a getting everyone picked up for church. She makes up the list of who is driving on which Sunday and every week she calls to find out for sure who will need a ride. Lucille is also the recruiter for the drivers and she is always looking for more good drivers. We now have 8 van drivers including some husband and wife teams. |
Red Hat ClubThe Red Hat Club is a women's organization that was started by some of the elderly at Redeemer. The Club collects and makes hats and mittens in the winter and puts those on Christmas trees in the narthex. In the summer we collect socks and underclothing for the children in a charter school The Red Hat Club is also social club whose members go out to eat together, usually on the last Sunday of the month. This club is meant for women 50 and older but we will accept youngsters under 50 as well. All members over 40 wear a red hat, all members under 40 wear a pink hat. We currently have between 8 & 10 members and are always open to more.
